Chennai Express- Full of Action & Comedy
'Chennai Express' is the film of Golmaal series directed by Rohit Shetty and action played by Shah Rukh Khan & Deepika Padukone is released today on the occasion of Eid. After a long time Rohit has chosen Shah Rukh Khan instead of his favourite actor Ajay Devgan. In other movies of golmaal series 'Bol Bachan' and 'Singham', Ajay Devgan played a major role.
Released under the banner of 'Red Release Entertainment', the film is produced by Begam Gauri, Rony Screwwala and Siddarth Roy Kapoor. Like the other movies of Rohit, 'Chennai Express' is also an action & comedy movie in which Rahul named character who is 40 year old bachelor travels from Mumbai to Rameshvaram (a small town in Tamil Nadu) in train to fulfil the last wish of his grandfather.The last wish is to immerse his ashes in holy water of Rameshwaram. During the journey we can see every color of bollywood i.e. action, romance and comedy.The journey makes him realize importance of life, love, sacrifice and relationships.
During his journey, Rahul strikes into a woman from down south belonging to a unique family. Her father is a local Don. They fight a lot with each other while they are on the opposite end of spectrum. As they travel through exuberant lands of south India, they find love for each other. Soon after they fall in love, an unexpected drive awaits them. That is the crux of the story.
After 'Om Shanti Om', it is the second movie of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. In Shah Rukh's movie "Billu Barber", Deepika played a guest role in one of the song.

I like the golmaal series movies especially, the third part. When Rohit Shetty was talking of remaking the movie' 'ANGOOR', I rejected to listen the story as it was one of the favorite movies of my family and I knew everything about it. But after a few days Rohit interacted with a Chennai Script. He came with Three more writers along with him. Rohit has an extremely different style of narrating the story. I gave him half an hour to narrate the story but I don't know how three hours passed away. I didn't say Yes immediately but after discussing with friends I agreed to work for it.
